URA FC’s 12 match unbeaten ran can to a crashing end on Tuesday as they suffered a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Busoga United FC.

The Tax Collectors who had not tasted defeat since November 12 could not get the better of a Busoga United side who played close to 70 minutes of the contest with 10 men.

Douglas Muganga was the player shown red on 21 minutes following two quick yellow cards.

However, that did not stop Busoga from holding on and eventually take the lead through David Bagoole on 59 minutes.

URA FC who had earlier been dealt a massive blow as first choice goalkeeper Alionzi Nafian was forced off and replaced by Samuel Mwaka, conceded a second five minutes later with Nelson Mandela poking home a Bagoole assist.

Two would soon become three as Lawrence Tezikye finished off Ismail Mugulusi’s pass 14 minutes from time.

In winning the game, Busoga returned to winning ways following their 3-0 defeat at the hands of Bright Stars on match-day 21.

This is Busoga’s 10th victory of the season and it takes them to 5th spot with 33 points from 22 games.

For URA FC, they have now lost 4 games this campaign and they remain in 4th position with 34 points.

In their next games, URA FC hosts Vipers SC in Bombo on Friday while Busoga United are away to Maroons FC on the same day.

The other game played on Tuesday

-Vipers SC 0-0 KCCA FC
-Police FC 1-2 Bright Stars FC
-Wakiso Giants FC 2-1 Maroons FC
