Veteran striker Robert Ssentongo tacked away a stoppage time penalty to ensure Kyetume FC continues their fine run of form as they dispatched Onduparaka 3-2 at the Mighty Arena.

The multiple time former Uganda Premier League top scorer netted his second and third for Kyetume from the spot on two minutes of the four added on at the end of the 90, a goal that won the contest.

It was not the first penalty he put away on the afternoon after doing likewise on 63 minutes to put his side 2-1 up before Julius Malingumu equalized for Onduparaka with just 7 minutes left on the clock.

Earlier in the game, Ssentongo who would eventually be named man-of-the-match, set up Becker Buyala to open the scoring in the first half.

However, five minutes into the second half, Rajab Kakooza had pulled the Caterpillars level.

This is Kyetume’s third victory in five games and having drawn the other two, the Mukono based side is on course to retaining their top tier status at the first time of asking.

The Slaughters now move into 9th on the log with 30 points, one ahead of Bright Stars FC who lost 2-1 away to SC Villa on the same day.

For Onduparaka, they remain 8th with 31 points from 24 games.

In their next fixtures, Onduparaka will be away to BUL FC on Wednesday while Kyetume will take on Busoga United FC at the Mighty Arena on the same day.
