Busoga United 1-0 Wakiso Giants

Shafic Kimbowa’s lone strike handed Busoga united a fifth consecutive home win as they defeated Wakiso Giants FC at the Mighty Arena in Jinja.

Kimbowa scored for the hosts in the 15th minute after he was put through on goal by David Bagoole to slot past Derrick Emukule.

Caption George Kasonko was sent off in the 68th minute after receiving a second yellow card.

Lawrence Tezikya would have scored for the hosts in the early minutes of the game but his header off a well delivered Bagoole assist went just over the bar.

The Purple sharks played with hearts out but they were just not lucky to leave Jinja with at least goal.

Gaddaffi Wahab had his strike go over the bar while Karim Ndugwa’s late strike went inches wide.

Amos Muwonge and Karim Ndugwa had their efforts denied by goalkeeper Ali Kimera as Wakiso kept on keeping the pressure.

Goalkeeper Derrick Emukule was on spot to deny David Bagoole and Onen.

Wakiso Giants are now winless in the last two games.

Busoga United are still fifth on the log with 39 points while Wakiso Giants FC remain 10th on with 29 points.

The Jinja based team will be hosting Kyetume FC on match-day 25 at the Mighty arena while Wakisi welcomes Vipers at Wakisha.
