Former Wakiso Giants FC captain Feni Ali was at the center of the result as the Purple Sharks drew 1-1 at home to Kyetume FC on Saturday.
Ali who departed Wakiso at the start of the season, scored Kyetume’s goal inside two minutes to put the Slaughters in the lead.
However, with 10 minutes to play, Kyetume would be denied all three points.
Goal keeper Joel Mutakubwa brought down Karim Ndugwa in the area to leave center-referee Deogratious Opio with no option but to point to the spot.
With Viane Sekajugo out injured, Gadafi Wahab took responsibility and equalized.
After levelling, Deo Sserwadda’s side went all out for a winner but it would not come as the game ended 1-1.
The result means Wakiso slumps to 11th with 29 points from 23 games so far this season.
For Kyetume, they remain 12th with 27 points.
In their next fixtures, Wakiso will be at home on Tuesday while Kyetume are at home to Onduparaka FC.
In the other games played on Saturday, KCCA FC were held to a 1-1 draw at home to Express FC.
Mike Mutebi’s side took the lead through Mustafa Kizza’s penalty before Frank Kalanda replied in same fashion at the stroke of hal ftime, moments after Musa Ramathan was sent off for handling a Doka Mweru goal-bound effort following Charles Lukwago’s howler.
In Fortpotal, Tooro United FC beat Police FC 2-0 thanks to goals by Charles Musiige and John Byamukama.
The encounter between Onduparaka FC and Mbarara City FC at the Green Light Stadium in Arua ended in a 1-1 draw. Brian Ahebwa handed Mbarara an early lead before Julius Malingumu replied with 9 minutes to play.
At Kavumba, Joseph Janjali helped Bright Stars FC to victory over Proline thanks to an 82nd minute goal.
