The Uganda Cranes have been confirmed as part of a mini tournament that will be played in March.
The tournament will feature three nations as they prepare for the 2020 CHAN.
Zambia and Mali are the other nations that will feature in the five day tournament that will be hosted from 17th to 21st of March at the Mandela National Stadium in Namboole.
All teams will be hoping to take shape before they head to Cameroon to take part in the 6th CHAN edition.
Cranes head coach Jonathan McKinstry summoned a provisional team of 34 players that will enter camp on Sunday, 1st March 2020.
He believes the tournament will give Uganda good test before the final tournament in Cameroon.
“I believe this tournament will help us to gauge our standards, noted the North Irishman.
“We hope to gain a lot from the games against Mali and Zambia.
“Mali is one of the teams with a good squad, they have hugely invested in youth football.
“Zambia is another good team and the fact that they are under coach Milutin Sredojevic, they will definitely give us a good test.”
