Bright Stars FC vs Busoga United FC
Kavumba Recreation Grounds, Wakiso
Wednesday, 05-02-2020 @4:30pm

Bright Stars FC will be hoping to continue their fight to beat the drop when they host Busoga United FC at the Kavumba Recreation Grounds on Wednesday.

Paul Kiwanuka’s side who struggled in the first round have seen their fortunes change of late.

They have collected 10 points from a possible 15 in the second round, winning three, drawing one and losing just once.

The acquisition of Bernard Muwanga, Muwadda Mawejje and Stephen Munguki looks to have stabilized the team.

The other praise has to go to their defence that has conceded just three goals in the second round.

With goals going in at the other end, the Stars will be confident going into Wednesday’s fixture.

However, it will not be a walk in the park as they face a side that has also been in good form since the turn of the year.

Busoga have won four of their five games since the turn of the year and are intent on continuing this fine run of form.

The must also be in high spirits ahead of Wednesday’s fixture as they are coming off a 2-1 comeback victory over rivals BUL FC in the Jinja derby.

Match Facts

This will be the 8th meeting between the two sides since 2016.

In the previous 7, Bright Stars have won three, Busoga two with the other two all ending in draws.

Last season, each of these two sides won their respective home fixture with Bright Stars winning the reverse 4-1.

The first meeting this season ended in a 3-1 win for Busoga.
