Uganda Cup: Mbarara City FC records record victory in thumping of FHL

Mbarara City FC recorded their biggest victory in the Uganda Cup as they humiliated FHL on Friday.

The Ankole Lions who have never won the tournament took the game 9-0.

Raymond Onyai bagged a hat trick, Brian Ahebwa helped himself to a brace while Solomon Okwalinga, Ronald Oti, Ibrahim Magandazi and Makweth Wol scored the other goals.

Okwalinga scored th4 first gone on 10 minutes, before Onay started his journey to a treble made it 2-0 moments later.

Ahebwa and Oti then ensured Mbarara leads by five (5-0) at half time with three more goals in the following 25 minutes.

On 68 minutes, Magandazi scored his first goal this sesson before Wol added another with 15 minutes to go.

Onyi would then complete his hat trick with two goals in 7 minutes including a 92nd-minute penalty.

This is Mbarara’s fourth victory in all competitions since the turn of the year.

In that period, they have played 7 game, losing just twice.

Mbarara City FC who beat Kakira United 2-1 in the previous round, now book a spot in the last 16.
