Big League side Kansai Plascon are undergoing a major shake-up in terms of playing staff.

The club who are seeking to make their maiden appearance in the Uganda Premier League have released up to 10 players ahead of the Big League second round.

Headlining the list of released players if former Police FC and Wakiso Giants FC striker Norman Ojik.

Ojik joined Plascon in July 2019 after helping Wakiso attain promotion to the top tier following a six-month loan spell from Police FC.

Striker Fred Ssegujja, Sula Bagala and Ivan Kyoterekera are some of the big names on the departing list.

Desmond Kyobe, Reagan Tindigye, Daniel Ekuyu, goalkeeper Zakaria Nsubuga, Pizzaro Kibirige and Nasser Muzamiru are the others who will be leaving in January.

It is understood that the club have been on a massive recruitment spree and will announce their new signings later this month.

Kansai Plascon, who featured in last season’s playoffs, had a poor the first round registering only one win, four draws and lost thrice.

They currently occupy sixth spot in the Rwenzori Group seven points collected from eight games.

Kansai will need to finish in the top three of their group if they are to stand a chance of sealing promotion to the Uganda Premier League.
