KAMPALA – KCCA FC will take on Police FC in the Uganda Premier League (UPL) on Saturday, November 9th.
This was confirmed on Wednesday evening via a statement released by the Uganda Premier League Secretariat.
The game comes a day before the Uganda Cranes take on North East in the Regional Tour.
It should be noted that KCCA FC has six players on the Cranes team and all are expected to be with the National team in the game to be played in Katakwi.
Despite having six players on the Cranes team, KCCA FC requested to play the game.
“Pursuant to article 19(27) KCCA FC has requested to play their fixture against Police FC without their players summoned for the national team duty. Accordingly, KCCA FC vs Police FC shall be played on Saturday, 8th November 2019 at StarTimes Stadium- Lugogo. Read part of the statement released by the UPL secretariat.
The secretariat also confirmed three other fixture adjustments.
The match between Onduparaka FC has been moved ahead by one day from Sunday November 17th to Monday 18th November.
Vipers SC’s visit to Maroons FC which was earlier postponed has been rescheduled for Wednesday 20th November at Luzira Prisons Stadium.
KCCA FC who are currently 7th with 13 points, have seen another fixture adjusted and will now host URA FC in a Television game on Wednesday November 20th.
Vipers SC still lead the UPL with 30 points from their first 12 games.
The latest UPL fixtures saw Mbarara City FC draw 0-0 at home to Bright Stars FC while SC Villa beat Tooro United FC 4-1. Both games were played on Wednesday November 06th.
