Bright Stars FC vs SC Villa

Bombo Barracks Stadium, Bombo

Saturday, 09-11-2019 @4pm

SC Villa return to Bombo Barracks on Saturday to play Bright Stars three days after subjecting Tooro United to it’s worst defeat of the season.

The Jogoos found little resistance on Wednesday against a dreadful Tooro, scoring four goals to take their tally of goals scored this term to 16.

Midfielder Ambrose Kirya notched a couple of those, and he’ll be one of the guys Edward Kaziba will count on Saturday.

Since losing to league debutants Kyetume on the opening day of the season, Kaziba and his boys haven’t been on a losing side; that’s a streak of nine games.

The Villa faithful will hope that run continues tomorrow. Against Bright Stars, they face a side that not until last week, had not won a game this campaign.

The Stars also rank as one of the worst defenders in the division, with 14 conceded thus far. Villa on the other hand are joint third on the scoring chart in the league having netted 16 goals.

The Blues will hope to bag all the three points tomorrow as they look to bridge the gap between themselves and table toppers Vipers.

Villa are staged third in the table standings with 20 points, while Bright Stars are seated in the red zone with 10 points.
