Uganda Premier League
Proline FC vs Bright Stars
StarTimes Stadium, Lugogo
Tuesday, 12-11-2019 @4:30

Two teams in early relegation struggle do battle on Tuesday as Proline welcome Bright Stars to the StarTimes stadium, Lugogo.

The Uganda Cup winners have spent much of the first half at the bottom of the table with zero point having been docked off six after they forfeited their game against SC Villa, but managed to secure one against Tooro United following a 1-1 draw over the weekend.

With no more Continental football to worry about following their exit, attention has been directed to the league with survival top on the agenda. Proline have come short of all the three points by just a goal recently. In their last four of five games, the side lost by a goal. It looked like it was headed that way on Saturday as Tooro scored first, but they were able to regroup and eventually found the goal that handed them a draw.

Against Bright Stars, they meet a team that’s not doing well either. Having found it’s first win of the season ten days ago, the side was back to it’s losing ways, losing 1-0 to SC Villa on Saturday. It was their fifth loss of the campaign.

That should be motivation enough for Proline who welcome Bright Anukani back from national team engagement. But for them to win, they need to score. Proline haven’t been clinical. The side has scored just five goals, making them the worst attackers in the division.

It is less likely that the game will produce a reasonable amount of goals as Bright Stars are themselves poor upfront. The Stars have managed to net only nine.

Proline go into the game seated bottom with a solitary point while Bright Stars are 14th with ten.
