Uganda Premier League

Tooro United vs KCCA

St Paul’s Seminary Grounds, Fort portal @4:30pm

Tooro United host KCCA at St Paul’s Seminary Grounds in one of the three Uganda Premier League games to be played on Wednesday.

The Kasasiro boys have played two games in the League this season and have won both against, Wakiso Giants and Busoga United away.

The 13 times Uganda Premier League Champions will be hoping they can bounce back from the disappointment of Champions League exit last weekend.

Tooro United FC will be playing their first game of the season in Fort portal after getting the all-clear sign from FUFA to play their home games from St Paul’s Seminary Grounds.

What the coaches say

Bbosa Wasswa (Tooro United)

“The team is prepared well, and my players are all ready to win the game against KCCA”.

“I call upon our fans to come and support us and we shall put on a good performance especially now that we are home.”

Morely Byekwaso ( KCCA)

“We are motivated and want to bounce back from that result on the continent against Petro. Focus is now on the Startimes Uganda Premier League”

“We have players that could make their debut tomorrow, Keziron, Senyonjo and Odumegwu could all feature.”

“Unfortunately, Muzamiru and Kizza did not travel to Fort Portal but we have able replacements to fill their void.”

Team News

Mustafa Kizza and Muzamiru Mutyaba did not travel with the team because of medical reasons. The pair is expected to be fit to play the next game. The pair joins Jurua Hassan, Julius Poloto and Sadam Juma who are still out injured.

Winger Simon Serunkuma made the traveling 18 and returns to Fort portal to play against his former club in very familiar territory.

For Tooro United, they will be without Paddy Muhumuza, Geoffrey Lwesibawa and Ibrahim Kayiwa who are still serving their suspension.

In the last 14 games played between KCCA FC and Tooro United, KCCA FC has won 8 while Tooro has won 3 and both teams have shared spoils on three occasions.
