In the bid to give back to their customers through promoting sports filled with fun and excitement, on Monday, October, 14, Guiness launched the night-5 Aside human futsal at Serena Hotel, Kampala.
The event was highly attended by the media who came to have a glimpse and insight of the much anticipated competitions.
Prior to the unveiling, the guests were treated to a cocktail and given hampers which included T-shirts, Key holders, Caps.
According to Ms. Cathy Twesigye, the brand manager premier beers, she revealed that the competition is meant to celebrate and give back to their customers who have been with them since time memorial.
“This is a series of unexpected football so you know we have been doing football and have sponsored the English premier league for about five seasons and still moving on. It is not for only professional footballers to have fun but everyone who is interested and what they have to do is register their teams and take part.” She stated.
“On Saturday 0ctober 26, we shall be at Forest Mall, Lugogo a location that is accessible to everyone. We are bringing the games near you and are talking three people to Nigeria for the 5 A-side and will have a chance to play with the rest of the competitors. After Lugogo we shall head to other parts of the country.” Added Twesigye.
Mr.Bernard Olupot, one the panelists said;
“Everybody who can find the venue is most welcome as long as they have one female on board because it is all about fun and winning lots of prizes at stake. Most of the things that happen at night are fun and I personally I am not good at football but I will enjoy every moment since it is not only taking part in Kampala.”
