Bulemezi sealed a second Masaza Cup title following a 1-0 victory over Busiro at the Mandela National Stadium in Namboole.

Having previously won the title in 2012, Bulemezi came into the game as favourites and would justify that tag later on in extra-time.

After a goalless draw in normal time, Emma Loki scored the clinching goal 5 minutes into the 30 extra minutes.

Bulemezi looked the better side during normal time with forward Andrew Kigozi consistently asking questions of the Busiro defence.

However, Busiro who were in their first ever final remained resolute throughout and looked content on shutting out their opponents for as long as they could.

Substitute Hamza Mulambuza shot off the target while John Nakibinge failed to loop past Hadad Mutumba as Bulemezi upped the tempo a bit.

However, they had to wait until the 95th minute for Loki to hand them their second title via thumping header.

After scoring, it was just a matter of seeing out the final 25 minutes.

This is the second title for Bulemeezi who beat Buwekula 1-0 in the 2012 finals, a year after they had lost thier first ever final.

In the loser’s match, Kyadondo came from a goal down to defeat Buddu 2-1.

Bulemeezi walks away with Sh12M. Busiro takes home Sh9M while Kyadondo and Buddu bag Sh7M and Sh5M respectively.
