Huge boost for Cooperate League as MTN Uganda earmarks UGX18 to push tournament

KAMPALA —Telecommunications giant, MTN has announced UGX18M contribution towards the 8th outing of the Corporate League happening on Sunday September 28 at Kyambogo.

At this month’s Corporate league outing, there will be football group games, Volleyball games from round of 32 to finish, Tag of war and short fun races among others.

Julius Ikwete, the current team manager MTN Corporate league team said that; MTN has always supported and been part of corporate league.

Through sports activities such as Corporate League, he said that MTN Uganda strives to connect and unite people.

For customers who cannot make it to Kyambogo, there will be select matches that will air on BBS TV.

He also added that; “There will be discounts through #MTNMoMoPay for customers who buy drinks and eats and other services.”

“We hope to have a brighter Corporate League day on Sunday,” Julius concluded.

The event usually brings several employees from different corporate companies to engage in several sporting activities.

At least 70 companies confirmed taking part in 2019 tournament.

These compete in a number of sporting events include Basketball, Volleyball, swimming, athletics, Netball, football among others.
