Bright Stars will hope for their first win of the season when they visit Busoga United at Njeru Technical Centre on Saturday in the Uganda Premier League.

Bright Stars lost their first league game 3-1 against Vipers SC and drew 1-1 with Express at Wankulukuku.

Busoga United on the other hand will be hunting for the first home win after losing to KCCA 1-0 courtesy of Kizza Mustafa’s Free kick.

It should also be noted that Busoga has also not registered any points this season and will be hoping to turn tables when they face Bright Stars. They also lost 1-0 to Tooro United on match-day one.

 Team news

Bright Stars will welcome back Farouk Katongole after serving his suspension (red card) and he is expected to partner Enock Walusimbi in the heart of defence.

Ivan Wani, Dan Ssewava and Jerome Kirya will be the faces to look to as the school team looks for its first points of the season.

Match Facts

The hosts have gone five league matches without a win, a streak that includes three 2018/19 season’s games.

Last season, Busoga picked their first win against Bright Stars – Joel Madondo and Isma Kawawulo were on target for the School Boys in the 2-1 win while Jungu Methodius brought one back for Bright Stars.

The first round game had seen Bright Stars win 4-1 at Mwererwe – Nelson Senkatuka had a brace, Augustine Kacancu and Brian Kayanja scored the other goals. Fred Amaku brought one back for the visitors while Dan Ssewava was sent off.

This will be the seventh league meeting between the sides – Busoga have won once, drawn twice and lost the other three.
