Tooro United vs Wakiso Giants

WAKISO – Tooro United will host Wakiso Giants at Wakisha Resource Center in the first placement game of the Pilsner Super 8 2019 on Tuesday afternoon.
Both sides slipped to this side of the competition following losses in their respective quarterfinal games.
Tooro were defeated 5-3 on penalties by Onduparaka FC at the Green Light Stadium in Arua.
For Wakiso, they suffered a 0-2 home loss against KCCA FC in a game that they gave a good account of themselves.
Going into Tuesday’s games, Wakiso assistant head coach, James Odoch believes they learned a lot against KCCA and are now in a position to defeat Tooro.
“We lost the last game against KCCA FC despite playing well, noted Odoch.
“We have a chance to redeem ourselves against Tooro and we have prepared well and we will do our best to win the game.
Wakiso who have so far signed over 10 players in the transfer window will be without defender Ibrahim Kiyemba. The former Vipers SC and SC Villa players who started alongside Fahad Kawoya at center-back in the loss to KCCA FC has been down with Malaria in the last few days.
The Purple Sharks will also be without veteran striker Geoffrey Sserunkuma who is still trying to secure his International Transfer Certificate (ITC) from former club Napsters FC. Sserunkuma was confirmed as a Wakiso Giants players last week.
Wakiso Giants are expected to continue with Yasin Mugabi in goal. Mugabi had a decent game against KCCA FC despite conceding two goals.
In defence, Muwadda Kateregga who collided with the perimeter fence last week has fully recovered and is expected to retain his spot at right-back. Aggrey Madoi is likely to come in for Simon Namwanja at left-bak. Hassan Wasswa Dazo will slot-in at center-half alongside Fahad Kawaoya.
The midfield will most likely have Hakim Ssenkumba, Ivan Kiwewa and the youthful Hassan Ssenyonjo.
Yasin Mugume is pushing for a start on the right and is likely to replace Muwadda Mawejje while Duncan Sseninde and Karim Ndugwa are expected to retain their starting roles.
This will be the first competitive meeting between the two sides.
The winner of this contest will contest the 5th/6th spot will the losers drop to the 7th/8th contest.
