The Uganda Cranes will take on hosts South Africa at the on-going COSAFA Cup.

After both sides were eliminated from the main tournament, they dropped into the Plate contest where they will face one another on Tuesday, for a place in the final.

Uganda fell to Lesotho 3-2 on penalties on Saturday following a 0-0 draw after 90 minutes.

It was a disappointing game for the Cranes who dominated from start to finish but kept on missing clear-cut chances.

In the shoot-out, Paul Mucurezi, John Revita and Mustapha Kizza all failed to convert and hence lost to Lesotho, for the first time in history.

Revita (R) was one of three Ugandans who missed penalties on Saturday.

For South Africa, they were also eliminated in similar fashion by Botswana on Sunday.

The Bafana Bafana drew 2-2 with their opponents after 90 minutes and then lost 4-5 on penalties.

South Africa’s led 2-0 in normal time with 29 minutes to play before seeing their advantage wiped out by Botswana.

The two will face off on Tuesday as they fight to stay in contention with 100, 000 SA Rands.
