NAKASERO – StarTimes in conjunction with Hisense Uganda have on Monday, May 20th, launched Uganda’s first ever obstacle course challenge competition.

The competition dubbed ‘Hisense Challengers – Uganda’, is a sports entertainment competition show which will be held at Mandela National Stadium.

The competition will feature hundreds of competitors attempting to compete a series of obstacle courses of increasing difficulty for cash prizes of up to $6,000.

Speaking at the launch at Arirang Restaurant in Nakasero, StarTimes-Uganda head of Marketing Isma Lule expressed his delight that the competition is coming to Uganda.

“We at StarTimes are extremely happy to bring you the first ever obstacle course competition in Uganda. Said Lule.

“The Challenge started in Ghana and has been airing on some of our channels.

“We bring it to Uganda so that Ugandans get a chance to have fun and win money and prizes at the end.

“We will play the challenge at Namboole as the beaches in Uganda have limited space to execute the competition.

In the competition which will run from May 27th, each competitor is expected to overcome various physical obstacles in the form of stepping stones, rope climbing, balancing bridge, bowling, sack racing among others.

The winners of each group stage will automatically qualify for the finals.

The competition will feature both sexes with the Males competing amongst their peers as the Female also do likewise.

Registration for the competition will be done via the StarTimesON APP and it runs from 20th May.

The Auditions will take place between May 27th and June 1st with medicals slatted for June 3rd and 4th.

There will be training on June 5th and 6th while the official filming starts five days later on June 11th.
