JINJA – The business end of all tournaments is the knock-out stage and for the 2019 Copa Coca Cola, it has taken shape.
After an entertaining and thrilling Group stage, the draws for the round of 16 were conducted on Tuesday, 14th May, afternoon.
The teams that finished top of their respective Groups were placed in the same pot will the runners ups in the other.
It was also confirmed that the round will be played throughout Wednesday with the first two games kicking off at 11am.
Defending Champions Buddo will play in one of the two opening matches against Uganda Martyrs’ High school at the Mighty Arena.
Buddo finished top of Group H which featured another heavyweight-Kibuli SS while Uganda Martyrs won a petition against Kazo Seed to finish second in Group D.
The other 9am game on Wednesday will see Group G winners Masaka SS take on Group B runners ups Bulo Parents at the Kakindu Stadium.
For St. Mary’s Kitende, they will take on St. Kaggwa at the Mighty Arena at 2pm.
Kitende ended the group stages as winners of group E while St. Kaggwa finished second in Group A.
Elsewhere, record champions Kibuli will have Jinja Progressive Academy standing in their last 8 path.
The two teams will face off at the Mighty Arena in one of the two games that will be played at 4pm.
The other game to be played at 4p will be between Jinja SS and St. Juliana at the Kakindu Stadium.
The Copa Coca Cola 2019 will climax on Sunday, 18th May, at the Kakindu Stadium.
