At one point, Proline looked intent on running away with the automatic promotion spot in the FUFA Big League-Rwenzori Group.
However, with only one game to play, Shafick Bisaso’s side are tussling it out with two other teams in the bid reach the StarTimes Uganda Premier League without playing the unpredictable playoffs.
The two teams in question are Kansai Plascon and Dove FC, who sit in second and third respectively.
Proline have their destiny in their hands as they lead Kansai by a point. However, with only two points separating them and 3rd (Dove), anything can happen.
In their Match-Day 20 games, Proline are away to Kabale Sharpe.
Bisaso’s side should be confident as they come up against a side that has nothing to play for this season after securing their status last Thursday.
Kable’s win over Kireka on Match-Day 19 elevated them to 28 points, six clear of the drop zone with only a single game to play.
However, Proline need not to get comfortable here as games like this, against sides that have nothing to play for/lose, always tend to be complicated.
“We are ready to go and i think we need this game more than Kabale Sharp. Said Proline player Ibrahim Sendi ahead of the game.
“We are not on pressure since we have gone through similar situations before where we must win only. We are going to take this team back to the premier league.
For the other two, Dove FC and Kansai Plascon, they square off in a headliner at Bishop SS Grounds in Mukono.
This is a game either side cannot afford to drop any points as they will definitely not reach the StarTimes Uganda Premier League without playing the playoffs.
In the other Rwenzori Group games, Kiboga hosts Kira United at the Busumate Grounds and Bumate entertains Water FC at Christ High School.
