MENGO – Barely a week after draws were made, the Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) competitions department has confirmed the dates for the 2019 Women Cup quarter-finals.
According to Hajjati Aisha Nalule, the FUFA Competitions Director, the quarterfinal matches will be played starting this week.
Two games will be played on Wednesday, 24th while the other on Saturday with the last one coming on Wednesday next week.
This Wednesday, Uganda Martyrs High School will face She Corporates in Lubaga and Makerere University will host Kawempe Junior at the Makerere University playground.
The third quarter-final will come on Saturday, 26th April 2019 when Soroti based Echoes High School entertains Tooro Queens at the Soroti Sports grounds.
The other shall be played at the start of May, as Lady Doves plays host to Olila High School at the Katushabe Playground in Masindi.
Last year’s defending champions Uganda Christian University (UCU) Lady Cardinals were eliminated by Kawempe Muslim 3-1 at the round of 32.
This is the third edition of the FUFA Women’s Cup which started in 2017. Olila High School won the inaugural tournament.
