Bright Stars, Police share spoils in Mwerere

Bright Stars1-1Police Fc

MWERERE – Police FC held Bright Stars to a one all draw in one of the StarTimes Uganda Premier league games played on Friday.

Basani Nasur Saafi scored an early goal in the 16th minute of the game to hand the Cops an early lead.

Before the half time break, Fred Kajoba’s side made a change with Alfred Onek replacing Rajab Kakooza and Dan Birikwalira came on for Moses Okot at the start of the second period.
The hosts piled pressure onto the visitors in the second half and on 70minutes Augustine Kacancu drew Bright Stars level with a fine strike.
Kacancu was also crowned man of the match courtesy of Plisner Lager.
The draw leaves both sides in unchanged in terms of positions with Police 9th on 37 points while Bright Stars are 10th, two points adrift of the Cops.

Police will host Vipers SC at the StarTimes stadium on Tuesday next week while Bright Stars will play against BUL FC away in Jinja on Wednesday.

The other game played on Friday:

-Vipers SC 2-1 URA FC
