Gabonese to take charge of Tanzania, Uganda AFCON qualifier

AFCON 2019 Qualifiers
Tanzania vs Uganda
National Stadium, Dar es Salaam
Saturday, 23-03-2019 @4pm

The Confederations of African Football has confirmed Gabonese officials to take charge of Uganda’s upcoming AFCON qualifiers.

The Cranes are set to take on Tanzania at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam on Saturday 23-03-2019, in what is their last competitive game before the finals proper.

Eric Otogo Castane is the center referee chosen for the encounter in which the Cranes habe nothing to play for after sealing top spot in Group L of the qualifiers.

Castane, 44, was also the referee in charge of Uganda’s goalless draw with Tanzania at Namboole on September 8th, the first second of the qualifiers.

He will be assisted by country-mates Moussounda Montel and Marlaise Ditsoga as the first and second assistant referees respectively.

Another Gabonese, Isidore Nze will be the fourth official as Sudanese Mamoun Bushara will be the match commissioner.

Uganda Cranes has already qualified for the AFCON 2019 tournament that will be played in June, having gathered an impressive 13 points from their first 5 games.

Tanzania are second on 5, Lesotho third on 5 while Cape Verde have 4.

-Center Referee: Eric Otogo-Castane (Gabon).

–Assistant Referee 1: Moussounda Montel (Gabon).

–Assistant Referee 2: Marlaise Ditsoga (Gabon).

–Fourth Official: Isidore Nze (Gabon).

–Match Commissioner: Mamoun Bushara (Sudan).

–Referees Assessor: Jason Damoo (Seychelles).
