NAMBOOLE – KCCA FC striker Patrick Kaddu will led the line against Cape Verde in Uganda’s fifth 2019 AFCON Qualifier at Namboole.
The former Maroons FC player gets the node ahead of Edrisa Lubega despite an average show away to Lesotho last time out.
The other surprise inclusion is Egyptian based defender Isaac Muleme who will start at the left side of the midfield.
Muleme fills in for Allan Kateregga who started in the same role in the 2-0 defeat of Lesotho in Maseru but drops to the bench this time out.
The rest of the team remains unchanged with Captain Denis Onyango standing behind a four man defensive line of Nicholas Wadada, Godfrey Walusimbi, Murushid Jjuuko and Hassan Wasswa.
The midfield consists of Denis Iguma, Khalid Aucho and Vipers’ Moses Waiswa.
Farooq Miya will play behind Kaddu in attack.
Uganda heads into the game requiring only a point to make it to the AFCON finals proper next year.
The starting IX:
Denis Onyango, Nicholas Wadada, Godfrey Walusimbi, Murushid Jjuuko, Hassan Wasswa, Denis Iguma, Moses Waiswa, Khalid Aucho, Farooq Miya, Isaac Muleme, Patrick Kaduu.
