LUGOGO – Police FC be hoping to register their first victory of the season when they host Express FC at the StarTimes Stadium in Lugogo .

The Cops have won none of their two fixtures and lie in relegation zone with no points after 2-1 losses to Bul and Paidha Black Angels while the Red Eagles have picked up only a point in as many fixtures. Kefa Kisala’s charges drew 0-0 with URA FC in their opener before losing 3-1 away to Mbarara City.

What the coaches are saying:

Abdallah Mubiru, Police FC.

“It is a must win for us since we are playing home and we are prepared to take on Express FC.

“It is going to be a tough game I must say but we have trained well and a few changes will be made in the squad that lost to Paidah in Arua.

“Our opponents want this win as much as we do so we must use the home advantage.

Kefa Kisala, Express FC:

“Police FC is a good side but my team is as equally good like them.

“We are going to go there and try to win the game.

“Am going to make changes in defence to make it hard for the opponents to get through.

Team news:

Police are expected to make a couple changes especially in defence with Tayimour Kimera most likely to get his first start in the campaign as Ronald Nyanzi, Ashraf Mugume and Ben Ocen are likely to retain their slots in attack.

For Express, skipper Julius Ntambi, is likely to return to the team after missing the defeat to Mbarara due to injury.

The Red eagles have had a lion’s share in the previous 16 league meetings between the two sides winning 6 and drawing 6.

Police has won 4 of those including an emphatic double last season.

The previous four fixtures have produced a total of 18 goals with police edging the recent
