MATUGGA – Bright Stars Football Club host 16 time league champions SC Villa at the Champions Stadium, Mwererwe in the Star Times Uganda Premier league.

Bright Stars who are currently third in the league haven’t lost any of their first two games having defeated both Nyamityobora and Maroons.

For the Joogos who are under a new head coach they haven’t started brightly, currently without victory in their first two games and lost the last 1-0 at home to Onduparaka.

What the coaches are saying:.

Moses Basena (SC VILLA).

“We are aware that Bright stars wants to keep the unbeaten run going but my team wants this win more than anything so we are going there to pick the 3points.

“They are not an easy team but my boys have trained well and i believe we are going to play and try to win.

“I have a new member on the team Albert Mugisa who has just been cleared to play so he is going to my team will be boosted.

Fred Kajoba (Bright Stars).

“My boys are ready to face any team that comes to the champions stadium, so am not scared to play Villa because we are home we must win.

“The team has played well in the last games but our main target is to win the remaining matches and also to be among the top 4 clubs.”

Team News:

Bright Stars Will rely on the services of their team Captain Nelson Senkatuuka who has scored in each of the games played. The Matugga based sides have also been boosted by the fact that they have no injury concerns hence Kajoba has a full pool of players to select from.

For SC villa, they will have Albert Mugisa who has been cleared to play so the team will rely on him plus Semujju Joseph and Bashiru Mutanda who scored against Kirinya SS.

The team is however without Edgar luzige and Yusuf Mukisa who got injuries during training.

Match Facts:

SC Villa have not had the best outing at the champions Stadium failing to win any of their last three encounters there. They have lost 1 game and 2 draws and there only win {SC VILLA) was by a solitary goal back in the 2015/2016 season.

-Mbarara City vs Maroons-Kavumba @04:30pm
