Proline target return to top tier as Big league starts on Thursday

LUGOGO – Days after releasing the FUFA Big League fixtures, 2018 Airtel Massaza Cup winner and head coach of Proline FC Shafic Bisaso is optimistic that his team will be promoted to the top Flight.

Proline was relegated last season from the top division and will open their second tier campaign in Lira away to Amuka Bright Stars on Thursday.

“Am ready to take Proline back to the top league.” said Bisaso

“We have trained enough and my boys are ready to take on Amuka Bright stars.” said Bisaso.

This is Bisaso’s second stint at Proline having managed the side between 2011-2014.

Bisaso was the head coach for Express FC and he helped them from avoid relegated last season but was replaced by Kefa Kisala. He has been show casing his coaching talents at Ssingo whom he helped to win the 2018 Masaza cup.

The Big league starts on 1st November and in other fixtures, relegated sides UPDF and Entebbe FC formerly known as Masavu will square off at Bombo Stadium.

Former Kamuli Park now Wakiso Giants make the long trip to Lira to face Amuka Bright Stars at the Lira Play grounds on Thursday.

Bukedea Town Council hosts Jinja Municipal Council (JMC) Hippos at the Emokori playground, Bukedea.

Kataka FC travel to Arua as they take on Azizi Damani sponsored Doves All Stars at the Green Light Stadium in Arua.

Ntinda United host Kireka United at Wankulukuku, new comers Kiboga Young will play host to Water at Bamususutta S.S Playground.

Meanwhile, Kansai Plascon formerly known as Sadolin will host Kira United at the Bishops S.S playground in Mukono while Kabale Sharp entertain Masindi based Dove at the newly laid Kabale Municipal Grounds.

At the end of the Big League three clubs will be promoted at the end of the season to the Uganda Premier League.

Kabale Sharp Vs Dove – Kabale Municipal Ground

Elgon Group:

Bukedea Town Council Vs JMC Hippos – Emokori playground, Bukedea

UPDF Vs Entebbe – Bombo Stadium, Bombo

Amuka Bright Stars Vs Wakiso Giants – Lira P7 Ground, Lira

Doves All Stars Vs Kataka – Green Light Stadium, Arua

Nebbi Central Vs Kataka – Nebbi Play ground
