-Ndejje University 1-2 Police FC

-Maroons 1-1 URA FC

After losing their first three games of the season, Police FC registered their maiden points and victory of the current campaign thanks to a 2-1 win away to Ndejje University on Wednesday.

Two first half goal by Ronald Nyanzi and Juma Balinya were enough to see the Cops past the finish line despite Dickens Kikama pulling one back for the hosts late in the game.

The Cops were trying to avoid an unwanted record of losing all their first four games of the season for the first time in their history and were happy to see Nyanzi put them in the lead on 16 minutes.

Their lead was increased to two a minute before the break as Balinya scored his first goal of the season.

In the second half, the hosts who had lost 1-0 to URA in the previous game piled pressure on Police but had to wait until the 87th minute to breach the Cops back line and ensure the game ends 2-1.

The victory take Abdallah Mubiru’s side out of the relegation zone into 13th with three points from four games.

For Ndejje, they slip to 12th with three points.

In Luzira, also registered their first point of the season, drawing 1-1 with inform URA FC.

Former Onduparaka forward Rashid Agau gave the home side the lead two minutes after the hour mark.

URA equalized through second half substitute Joakim Ojera with a quarter of an hour to play.

Maroons thus earned their first point in four matches as they remain glued at the bottom of the 16-team log. They along with Villa remain the only sides yet to win a game this season.

A point earned for URA leaves them in fourth place with 8 points.
