MASERU – Ahead of the Cranes fourth Group L AFCON Qualifier away to Lesotho, FUFA President-Eng. Moses Magogo has come out and thanked the Government for providing the team with a chartered flight.

This was after the Cranes arrived safely and held their first training session in Maseru.

“We would like to thank the Government for the support they have given us, said Magogo on Monday.

“Traveling in Africa is not easy especially the level of infrastructure throughout our continent.

“There are some countries which are very difficult to reach to by public transport but others who are very well off have been doing it perfectly.

“I would like to inform the Public that our plea to the Head of State was answered to by a Chartered plane and we left on Sunday morning with about 99 people on board including players, Officials, Media and fans, continued the Federation President.

“We stopped in Zambia and arrived here perfectly.

“The team had a training session yesterday (Sunday) and have one today and we think these two days will be enough for the boys to rest and then on Tuesday, we play the game and depart for Kampala at night.

About the players attitude going into the game, Magogo had this to say.

“The players are ready and proud to see the whole nation behind them.

“Gone are the days when the people were pulling in different directions and this is a start of many good things to come.

Uganda who currently sit top of Group L with seven points defeated Lesotho 3-0 on Saturday at Namboole and will be hoping to make it three wins in four on Tuesday evening.
