Beach Soccer AFCON Qualifier-Build Up game

ENTEBBE – With just three days to the all-important AFCON 2018 1st leg qualifier against Ivory Coast, the Sand Cranes have lined up a buildup game.

This will Head Coach Muwonge Salim Jamal’s first official game since he was confirmed in this position.

Muwonge’e Sand Cranes will face a select side of players featuring in the National Beach Soccer League which will be handled by Coach of the year Issa Asiimwe- (Head Coach of Isabet Beach soccer club-reigning League Champions 2017/18).

Ahead of the buildup match Muwonge noted that this game will be used to evaluate the team’s progress in terms of preparations.

“We are having this match to assess how far we have reached in terms of preparations ahead of our AFCON Campaign Qualifier match against Ivory Coast, said Muwonge.

“The game will help us identify points of weakness and see how we can improve plus perfecting on our strong areas especially in the goal scoring setup.

The Sand Cranes will take on West Africans-Ivory Coast at Spenah Beach on Sunday in the 1st leg of the qualifiers.

The finals tournament will take place in Egypt later this year.

Goalkeepers:
Kibirge Medi (Isabet), Lwamunda Nasser (Buganda Royal Institute) and Kalule Micheal (Nkumba University).

Defenders:

Lule Paul (Buganda Royal Institute), Katwe Allan (Nkumba University), Ochero Sulaiman (St. Lawrence University), Byaruhanga Rica (Isabet), Kimuli Thomas (Mutoola Beach Soccer Club), Muganga Douglas (MUBS).

Midfielders:
Kiggundu Swalley (St. Lawrence University), Magwari Ronald (Stomers), Kakwaya Swaibu (Isabet).

Forwards:
Lwesibawa Godfrey (Stomers), Wasswa Peter (Buganda Royal Institute), Ochen Ben (MUBS), Somoka Roch (C) (Isabet)
