FUFA Super Cup 2018

Vipers SC vs KCCA FC

Mutesa II War Memorial Stadium, Wankulukuku

Saturday, 22-09-2018 @03:30pm

WANKULUKUKU – The FUFA Referees Committee has appointed Brian Miiro Nsubuga as the center referee for the upcoming FUFA Super Cup clash between 2017/18 League winners Vipers SC and Uganda Cup holders, KCCA FC.

The developments were confirmed by the Federation’s spokesman, Ahmed Hussein during FUFA’s weekly press conference at Mengo.

Nsubuga, arguably the most senior referee in the country will be assisted by Dick Okello and Isa Masembe as first and second assistants respectively while the fourth official is Ali Waiswa.

The game is to curtain-raiser for the upcoming Uganda Premier league season which is slated to kick-off on the 28th of this month at different stadia.

Shockingly, the league fixtures for the new season have not been drawn as of yet despite the slatted kick-off date being just seven days away.

Vipers won last season’s league title after accumulating 65 points from 30 matches. KCCA finished second four points adrift of the Venoms.

For KCCA FC to win the Uganda cup, they defeated Vipers 1-0 in the final played in Bukedi. The Kasasiro Boys’ goal was scored by teenager, Julius Poloto.

KCCA are the Super Cup holders after defeating Paidha Black Angels 3-0 last year.
