Denis Onyango got injured in a league game last night

Uganda Cranes captain is out of danger after suffering a head injury that forced him off the field of play last night.

Onyango was stretchered off the pitch in the 43rd minute of his side, Mamelodi Sundown’s 2-0 victory over Polokwane City in the ABSA Premier league.

Through a video posted on Mamelodi’s official twitter handle, Onyango confirmed that he was now feeling well.

“Guys this is Denis, said Onyango in the Video.

“Am feeling much better as it has been nothing major. But thanks for the win and a good hard fought game.

Onyango collided with a Polokwane striker with five minutes to half time and although it was first feared to be so serious, reports coming from the hospital indicate that the shot-stopper is now ok.

Onyango will undergo further tests today to confirm that he is fully recovered before he is discharged.

The Victory yesterday elevated the ‘Brazilians’ to second spot on the log with four points from two games.

Their opening game of the season was a 1-1 draw with Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs last weekend, a game that Onyango featured in for 90 minutes.
