KCCA FC return to action this Friday.

With the Uganda U20 national team, the Hippos playing their Africa qualifiers against South Sudan on Saturday at the StarTimes stadium in Lugogo, AUPL secretariat has made adjustments to the Azam Uganda Premier league fixtures.

In a communication availed to the media on Monday afternoon, the league governing body through its secretariat has confirmed that six of the eight games that were supposed to take place on Saturday, 31st-03-2018 have been brought forward to Friday, 30th-03-2018.

The other two games including Proline vs SC Villa and SC Vipers vs Express FC have been postponed due to the fact that both Vipers and Proline have more than two players on the U20 national team.

Article 19(17) of the FUFA competitions rules states that, “if a club has two or more players in the national team, it’s league or cup fixtures may be called off three days before or after the national team’s engagement, if the game is played in Uganda.

However, KCCA FC who would have fallen in the same category with both Vipers and Proline have insisted that their fixture away to Kirinya JSS be played and it will happen.

KCCA FC have expressed their desire to honour the fixtures as they think they can be able to do without the players with the national team.

KCCA currently have three games in had on leaders SC Villa and playing the Kirinya game coupled with SC Villa’s fixture being postponed means that they will be trailing the Jogoos by two in terms of games played.

SC villa lead the AUPL table with 43 points, four and seven ahead of Vipers and KCCA respectively.

Games to be played this Friday:

Kirinya JSS vs KCCA FC@Bugembe stadium.

Mbarara City vs URA FC@Kakyeka stadium.

Soana FC vs BUL FC@Kavumba Recreation grounds.

UPDF Fc vs Maroons FC@Bombo

Police FC vs Bright Stars FC@Mandela national stadium.

Onduparaka FC vs Masavu FC@Greenlight stadium.

Dates for the postponed games will be communicated.
