FOOTBALL–The national football league organizing body, the Uganda Premier League has confirmed that some changes have been made regarding the fixture lists of the Azam UPL.
The communication was made through a press statement released last evening signed by the CEO of the Uganda Premier League Bernard Bampaire Bainamani.
The changes have been attributed to the fact that the Uganda Mens national football team, The Cranes will be playing their final World Cup qualifier away to Congo Brazzaville on Sunday, 12-November-2017 as it was confirmed by FUFA.
That means that all teams with atleast two players will not be able to play their fixtures of match day 9 on the 7th of November and so the games have been pushed to 22th of December.
The affected games include:
SC Villa vs Express FC
Proline FC vs KCCA FC
Vipers SC vs Kirinya JSS FC.
Match day 10 has also been greatly affected as all the matches that where supposed to be played on Tuesday, 14-November have been moved to Wednesday, 15-November-2017 with the venues and times remaining the same.
Further changes have been effected by UPL sighting the change in dates for the CECAFA tournament which has been moved from 17th-30th November to 25th-09th December.
