FOOTBALL–After KCCA FC failed to go top of the AZAM Uganda Premier League yesterday, their head coach Mike Mutebi has come out and slammed the team’s so called senior players.

“Journalists come out and talk about our so called senior players like Muzamir Mutyaba and Saddam Juma but what do they do on the pitch?” Mutebi asked.

Saddam Juma who is yet to find the back of the net this season was substituted at half time while Mutyaba who has only two goals so far played just a minute of the second half before he was also taken off yesterday against Proline.

“I keep on saying that all Ugandan footballers are the same and will mentain my stand. When you look at a young lad in Lawrence Bukenya and the things he was doing on the pitch, he seemed to understand the game better than the so called seniors,” Mutebi said.

KCCA FC lost away to Proline 2-1 yesterday at the StarTimes stadium in a game that they literally created nothing in the first half.

When both Saddam Juma nd Muzamir Mutyaba were taken off, the team seemed to have breathed a new lease of life as the likes of substitutes Isaac Muleme and Isaac Kirabira controlled the game better giving the advanced players room to operate in Proline’s half hence creating chances one I which resulted into the penalty that Paul Mucureezi converts late in the game.

After SC Villa won 1-0 at home to Express on the same day, it means that the Kasasiro boys have now slipped to third on the log, three points behind Jogoos and one adrift of Police FC who are second.

Mbarara City are the Kasasiro Boys next opponents away in Mbarara in two weeks time and it remains to be seen where both or any of Mutyaba and Saddam will feature.
