FOOTBALL–After drawing their first two league games of the season, two-time defending champions KCCA FC are seeking their first maximum points today against Onduparaka.

KCCA FC missed a penalty in their last game while drawing 1-1 away to UPDF and also drew 0-0 at home to Maroons FC in the first game.

“We need to react to the poor start as soon as possible. Yes the pressure is mounting and as the defending champions, we are expected to win every game and put that(pressure) to bed,”Mike Mutebi, KCCA FC head coach, said.

“It is good that our midfielder (Muzamir Mutyaba) has started scoring but we need the center fowards to also step up and be counted. Our main center foward(Derrick Nsibambi) missed a penalty in our last game but we know he can come good along with the others in the near future,” he added.

KCCA are still without star midfielder Ibrahim Saddam Juma and centre forward Faizol Malangu for today’s game but Jackson Nunda and Abdallah Muhammed have recovered although not fit to start.

Ceaser Okhuti who banged a brace in Onduparaka’s last game against Maroons is expected to lead the line again when he take on his former side with Shaban Muhammed still out of the team due to disciplinary issues.

Last season, KCCA won the reverse fixture 7-0 with a hat-trick at Allan Okello and a brace from Robert Ssentongo.

This is the third meeting between the sides with both winning at home in the first two games.

Shaban Muhammed who scored both goals for Onduparaka when both teams first met in the top flight is poised to join KCCA and will not feature for the West Nile based side.

Other games to be played today.
Soana FC vs Masavu FC
Maroons FC vs URA FC
Mbarara City vs Bright Stars.
