BASKETBALL–Pemba Warriors enter into their penultimate game of the first round on the back of an impressive 9-1 record and in fourth position behind Power UCU and KIU Titans. Their only loss in the round came at the hands of defending Champions City Oil in a 62-72 defeat.

Warriors won their last game impressively by 92:40 with coach Ronnie Mutebi resting almost all of his starters to allow the likes of Jude Ochen and Kizito Ceasar to get the much needed minutes on the court.

Mutebi is expected to make the same changes against a struggling Dolphins side with a record of 3-7 and having lost their last game to UPDF Tomahawks 55-59.

Speaking to Mutebi ahead of the game he sighted the perfomance of the bench players in the last game and was quick to assure PML Daily that more of the same team that played on Sunday afternoon is to be expected. ” The bench played a wounderful game on Sundayand it would be sucidal not to give them the minutes i think they deserve today.” ” Its not going to be an easy game because JKL have god some excellent players but am confident which ever team i put out there will get the job done ” Mutebi said.

In the early kickoff of the evening, third placed JKL Lady Dolphins in the ladies division and with an impressive 6-2 record take on A1 Challange who are trapped in the middle of the pile in fifth position.
