KAMPALA – Ugandan musician Patrick Mulwana, better known as Alien Skin, has been arrested and taken into police custody for allegedly assaulting medical staff at Nsambya Hospital.
According to police spokesperson ACP Kituuma Rusoke, Alien Skin’s arrest stems from a violent incident that occurred at the hospital on Tuesday night.
It’s reported that the trouble began when Joram Tumwesigye, a 28-year-old member of Alien Skin’s Fangone Forest group, was rushed to Nsambya Hospital after being crushed by a truck. Despite medical efforts, Tumwesigye succumbed to his injuries, sparking a heated reaction from Alien Skin and his group.
Alien Skin and his associates allegedly stormed the hospital, demanding Tumwesigye’s body and the autopsy report. The situation quickly escalated, with Alien Skin’s group clashing with hospital staff. A doctor and two security officers were left seriously injured in the melee.
Kituuma confirmed Alien Skin’s arrest, stating that more details would be shared later. The musician’s actions have been widely condemned on social media, with many calling for strict legal action.
