BUKWO – Presidential Candidate Lt Gen Henry Tumukunde is expected to campaign in Bukwo, Kween and Kapchorwa districts on Wednesday, December 16, 2020.

While in Bugisu region on Tuesday, Tumukunde requested the people to vote out President Yoweri Museveni claiming he has over stayed in power.

“I know Bagisu (Bamaasaba) decide once and this should be the same at this elections, many days or years but in same situation and that is why I am asking you to vote for change so that we can take Uganda forward but look for competent person who will take this country forward. Look at Bududa, every year, it is Bududa, Bududa and so will Bududa change? When will people stop dying because of landslides? So do that by voting.” Tumukunde said.

He added that, “Uganda’s issues are so complicated and that they require experienced leaders like him who have seen it all from the 1980s.”

According to Tumukunde, the country could be drawn into civil war in case Bobi Wine is trusted with power.

Tumukunde further responded to Museveni’s statements made against him, Gen Mugisha Muntu and Kizza Besigye when he labeled them “useless”.

“He was saying that me and Muntu and Besigye and particularly me an told he was calling me useless. Imagine, first of all if it was for Obote, having to quite power to Museveni I don’t think he would have done that. So it is not true that leaders decide who comes next to them,” said Tumukunde.

Tumukunde who seemed very unhappy with the president’s remarks dismissed claims that he failed to serve the country despite having the opportunity to do so.

“The other day he had so many complications in solving terrorism in Kampala, I came in,I solved that problem and he calls me useless?” He said.
