KAPELEBYONG – A team headed by the Forum for Democratic Change President Patrick Oboi Amuriat on January 6, 2020, engaged in a series of Mobilization party activities in Teso region.

Secretary-General Nathan Nandala Mafabi and Treasurer General Ekanya Geoffrey, Defense and Security boss Amin Sadik, Teso Regional leaders led by Soroti Municipality Mayor Omer Paul started the day from St. Andrews Church of Uganda in Amuria district where they attended a Church Service.

The leaders thereafter headed to St. Francis Acumen Catholic Mission in Kapelebyong district where they attended Mass led by Fr. Okurut who preached about love for one another and lauded FDC leaders for taking time to pray with their supporters.

Party leaders then attended a Thanksgiving Church Service organised by the FDC leadership in Kapelebyong at the home of the late Enau Emmanuel in Okona village.

The late Enau Emmanuel who died last year at the age of 39 was the FDC district Chairman for Kapelebyong and a long time serving Party leader and member.

The Party President thanked the family for allowing and supporting Mr. Enau throughout his time that he spent struggling against the dictatorship of Mr. Museveni.

“Much as the late died at a critical moment of the struggle, it has come to an end and Mr. Museveni would soon be no more. The energy of Mr. Enau together with very many fellow struglists will then be given a heroic recognition.

The Party also pledged to continue supporting the family.

Mafabi immediately took on Mr. Enau’s eldest son who is Senior Two and will educate him up to University and beyond.

During the function, 37 members denounced their NRM membership and bought FDC Cards as a sign of their commitment to the People Party (FDC). Mafabi received and ushered them into the party.

Leaders thereafter convened a district special meeting at the late’s home in honour of his great works, and discussed methodologies of structure reorganisation that will facilitate a final assault on the dictator.
