KAMPALA — The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has changed the date for the release of Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) 2019 results.
UNEB says the exams will now be released on Thursday, February, 2020 but no Friday, February 28 2020 as earlier communicated.
The Official said that results will be released at 11 am at the President’s office in the main auditorium.
UNEB’s chairman Professor Mary Okwakol will hand over the results to Minister for Education and Sports and First Lady Janet Museveni who will release them to the public.
UNEB officials will on Wednesday, February 26 brief the education minister on students’ performance at State House Nakasero.
The website has also learned that UNEB leadership including Executive Secretary Dan Odongo and Prof Okwakol will on Tuesday, February 25, 2020, brief Education Ministers in a high-level meeting expected to be attended by First Lady Janet Museveni, Mr. John Chrysostom Muyingo who is the State Minister for Higher Education, Ms. Rosemary Nansubuga Seninde, the State Minister for Primary Education all charged with political leadership.
Others include Mr. Alex Kakooza, the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Education among other technocrats. The meeting will be held at State House Nakasero in Kampala.
A total of 104,481 students sat for the A-Level final examinations in 2019.
The release of the A-Level results comes three weeks after those of O-Level were made public.
Headteachers will be expected to pick their schools’ results forms and slips later in the day from the headquarters of UNEB in Ntinda.
