KAMPALA – Police in Kawempe have arrested three suspects in connection to suspected murder related to domestic violence, the Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson SP Patrick Onyango has said.

The suspects include Sekatawa Henry alias Silver, Segawa Abubakar alias Computer and one only identified as Bogere.

Onyango in a statement noted that the Police got information from one of the residents that he saw three people dumping something, which he suspected to be a dead body near a water channel at Mambule Road, Kawempe Division in Kampala City.

“Immediately, a Patrol 999 unit and the
Detectives were dispatched to the scene.
A body of a female adult was found at the scene with blood oozing from the nose,” reads a Thursday, May 7 excerpt.

Onyango said the body was conveyed to city mortuary Mulago for postmortem.

He revealed that on interrogation, Sekatawa and Bogere claimed that Segawa called them to help him carry the body from an incomplete house.

“They alleged that they found when the woman was dead,” said Onyango.

He added that “The woman who has not yet been identified was a girl friend to Segawa.”

He said police is yet to interrogate Segawa to find out the motive for murdering the girlfriend.

Onyango further urged members the public to solve their domestic problems amicably.
