KAMPALA- Police in Wakiso have arrested a father suspected to have accidentally killed his two year old daughter during a domestic fight with the wife.

According to kampala Metropolitan Spokesperson SP Patrick Onyango, Its alleged that on April 20, one Ssegujja Denis, had a fight with his wife one Madrine Namala due to domestic issues and during a scuffle they fell and trampled on their child Nasozi Maria aged two years and she died instantly.

“Police was tipped off and rushed to the scene to begin investigations,” Onyango said in a statement dated April 21.

He revealed that the scene was visited by a team of Police Officers and detectives who arrested Ssegujja on murder charges.

“The body was taken to Mulago City mortuary for Postmortem,” reads an excerpt.

Mr Onyango further botedy that the police preliminary findings indicates that the couple have been having domestic problems for a long time without resolving it, “And
Ssegujja Denis allegedly had threatened to kill his wife and the children,” he added.

He appealed to members of the public to always resolve domestic issues amicably without restoring to violence.
