KAMPALA – Inspector General of Police Abbas Byakagaba has announced a series of transfers and appointments within the Uganda Police Force. The changes affect several senior officers, with new roles assigned to enhance the force’s efficiency.
AIGP Musana Geoffrey has been transferred from the Directorate of Welfare, Production & Sports to serve as the Police attaché at the Ugandan Embassy in South Sudan. This new role is expected to strengthen the relationship between Uganda and South Sudan in matters of security and law enforcement.
Meanwhile, SCP Sakira Moses will move from the Ugandan Embassy in South Sudan to become the Deputy Director of the Directorate of Research & Planning. This appointment is seen as a strategic move to enhance the force’s research and planning capabilities.
SCP Halango Timothy has been appointed as the Deputy Director of the Directorate of Welfare, Production & Sports, moving from the Directorate of Research & Planning. This new role will enable him to oversee the welfare and production activities of the police force.
In other changes, CP Mubangizi Ben will serve as the Police attaché in Algeria, transferring from the Directorate of Traffic & Road Safety. CP Ssebambulidde Charles has been appointed as the Ag. Deputy Director Classified Stores in the Directorate of Logistics & Engineering, moving from Agriculture Police.
Additionally, CP Acaye Philip will take on the role of Commandant in Agriculture Police, transferring from the directorate of Traffic & Road Safety. ACP Musinga Norman has been appointed as the Ag. Deputy Director in the Directorate of Traffic & Road Safety, moving from RPC Busoga East.
The Uganda Police Force has congratulated the officers on their new appointments and wished them success in their new roles.
