KAMPALA, UGANDA — New Life Leadership Academy celebrated its second graduation ceremony, marking a milestone in its mission to raise a generation of knowledgeable, skilled, and spiritually grounded leaders.
The ceremony, attended by dignitaries and representatives from the Transworld Accrediting Commission International in California, USA, was a testament to the academy’s commitment to education and faith.
Dr. Abraham S. Nalwebe, Director of New Life Academy and representative of Transworld Accrediting Commission International, praised the graduates for their remarkable progress.
“The graduation was very, very good,” he said. “Many of these students struggled with English when they first enrolled, but through rigorous training, they have not only mastered the language but also developed skills in public speaking.”
Dr. Nalwebe emphasized the importance of public speaking in effective ministry, noting that many pastors struggle to engage their congregations.
“Our graduates are now trained to understand their audience and deliver impactful messages,” he said.
Pastor Peter Mutebi, Overseer of Kawempe Pentecostal Churches, called for a renewed commitment to education among church leaders.
“This generation is not for ignorant people,” he said. “When you stand on the pulpit, young people in the congregation have already researched and interpreted the scriptures by the time you finish reading them. This is why education is critical. It has no money value or age limit.”
The graduates, who included Kemigisha Edinah and Kakaire Moris, shared their transformation journeys, praising the academy’s practical approach to learning.
“I couldn’t express myself in English, let alone address an audience, when I first joined,” Edinah said. “But now, I am confident, equipped, and ready to serve in my church and community.”
The graduation ceremony marked a significant milestone in New Life Leadership Academy’s mission to raise a generation of leaders who blend education with faith to build a better future.
