KAMPALA, UGANDA — Julius Mugabi, bodyguard to musician Patrick Mulwana, alias Alien Skin, has been remanded by the Makindye Chief Magistrates Court on charges of grievous harm against doctors at St. Francis Hospital Nsambya.
Mugabi, jointly charged with Alien Skin, denied the charges and will remain in custody until November 25. On the same day, Alien Skin is expected to be brought from prison to face new charges related to the Nsambya Hospital incident.
The alleged assault occurred on November 19 at St. Francis Hospital Nsambya, where Mugabi, Alien Skin, and others still at large allegedly assaulted doctors.
The incident occurred after Joram Tumwesigye, a member of Fangone Entertainment, which Alien Skin heads, died at the hospital following a car accident in Makindye.
Alien Skin is also facing separate charges of robbery related to an incident in September, in which he allegedly robbed Mubiru Salim of an iPhone 15 Pro, cash, and personal documents.
The musician denied the charges and was remanded until December 9 as investigations continue.
Unconfirmed reports suggest that additional charges may be brought against the musician for his alleged violent conduct.
