MUKONO – Naggalama police are hunting for a teacher of Nabalanga Church of Uganda Primary School on the charges of Aggravated Defilement of a 15-year-old, primary pupil.
Nambasa Aron allegedly committed the crime on September 9, 2023 at Kabawala village, Nabalanga Parish, Nabbale sub –county, in Mukono district.
Police say that the suspect went and found the victim in her brother’s shop at around 4 pm, at Kabawala trading centre, and he ordered passion fruit juice of Ugx500 only, which he asked the victim to deliver to his home.
“She was given a note of Ugx 2000 and went to pick up the balance. Upon her return, she was pulled inside the house and sexually assaulted. After the act of sexual violence, he asked the victim to go. The victim went and narrated her ordeal to her elder brother who reported the matter to the area LCI Chairperson and the police. The suspect is on the run,” said Enanga Fred – Police Spokesperson.
“We do strongly condemn such acts of inappropriate behavior, by teachers due to the negative impact it causes to pupils. The incident continues to show the dangers school girls face before they would be role models.”
Police urged parents to train their children, in child resistance skills of being assertive and to always cry out for help.
