KALANGALA — National Unity Presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu has been arrested in Kalangala district by security officers.

Many members of his campaign team too have been arrested and driven to an unknown destination, confirmed party secretary general Lewis Lubongoya.

His wife Barbra Itungo Kyagulanyi said has been arrested with a team of about  90 people including his online bloghers.

Bobi Wine today his campaigns after breaking off temporarily following a series of events that saw three journalists – including one on his team – injured and the death of his private bodyguard, Frank Senteza.

Senteza, who died on Sunday in Busega in an incident that has stoked controversy, was buried at his ancestral home in Villa Maria, Masaka district on Monday.

NUP claimed he died after being run over by a military vehicle. The army, through spokesperson Brig. Flavia Byekwaso, responded by saying that he “fell off a speeding car Reg No UBF 850Z (drone)” that he had tried to jump on to.
