KAMPALA – Panic gripped staff at Parliament on Monday after Police there arrested a man with a human head.

The man who was intercepted at Parliament’s main gate, had reportedly wrapped the human head in a kaveera, with intentions to deliver it to an unknown office.

Police at Parliament refused to speak to journalists while Parliament spokesperson Hellen Kaweesa said she would issue a formal statement over the matter..

Parliament has been a scene of various bizarre incidents in recent years. Several protesters have in the past dropped pigs and coffins at the Parliament gate reportedly in protest of the extravagance of MPs.

In 2018, a group of youth stormed parliament with a coffin condemning the manner MPs were handling the murder and kidnap of women and children that had hit the country.

The group led by Lutta Ferdinand dropped a coffin at Parliament to show their dissatisfaction and accusing MPs of neglecting the issues affecting the country. The group claimed that Over 20 women and children had been kidnapped for ransom while others were murdered in the period of three months, but parliament was busy discussing politics.
